VISITORS TO MULHUDDART FROM SOUTH KOREA

We recently had a visit to the club from two students, Soo Min Rhee and Suyeon Park from South Korea. They are studying in Ireland on an exchange program and made a video about Taekwon-Do training at our club for their school P.E. project. As part of the new website we want to build up our video gallery, so please bring your DVDs, CDs, USBs or whatever you have to the club and we will upload them or just ask for the youtube password and you can upload them yourselves! Thanks to Soo Min and Suyeon for the video. They also translated our club names, Mulhuddart & Mountview Sport Taekwon-Do Clubs into Korean for us:

PRESENTATION OF GRADING CERTIFICATES

This report and photos got lost in the changeover from the old website to the new one. Anyway better late than never! After the mammoth winter kup grading where 62 people (a club record) were promoted up the kup (colour belt) ranks. They were presented with their official Irish Taekwon-Do Association (ITA) certificates in January. We also presented some ITF Taekwon-Do gear bags to the students who were the top fundraisers in our recent sponsorship campaign.  Congratulations to everyone on their grading performance. If any students or parents would like a high resolution photograph emailed to you just email us the request and photo number.

IRISH FIGHTER OUT NOW!

The new edition of Irish Fighter magazine, filled with news, reports and previews of martial arts events from Ireland and abroad is out now. This edition features an extensive two page feature on the recent ITF World Championships in Argentina and the major achievements of the ITF Ireland National Taekwon-Do Team. As always there are reports and features covering a wide range of martial arts related topics. This issue also features a Junior Fact File on our own Nicola Popa. Copies are available at the club for €3.00 or you can order a copy sent directly to you in the post by emailing donal@dublin-ITF.com

INTA OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS - TALLAGHT

This is an update about the INTA Open Championships which will take place on 13th & 14th March 2010 in the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght. Mulhuddart Sport Taekwon-do Club has registered 27 competitors juniors and seniors from yellow to red belt. All junior events (everyone up to 17 years old) will take place on Saturday 13th. All senior events will take place on Sunday 14th. Please note that all junior and cadet competitors (everyone up to 17 years old) must wear headgear for sparring. The competition will start at 10.00am sharp therefore please be there at 9.30am to prepare. In addition to sparring there will be a special technique categories for juniors with Nopi Ap Chagi which we will prepare for. Please make sure that you have all the mandatory safety equipment.
